I watched the Battle of Prestonpans re-enactment at the weekend. The battle between the Government's Red Coat army and the Jacobites led by Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) took place on 21st September 1745. The Jacobites beat the Red Coats with an unexpected victory.
