If you like trees Dawyck Botanic Garden near Peebles in the Scottish Borders is the place to go. It has an incredible collection of trees and shrubs. I visited on a Spring day when the rhododendrons and bluebells were in bloom. I think Autumn would be a great time to visit when the leaves on the trees turn red and yellow.
