I attended Haworth 1940's Weekend in the West Yorkshire village of Haworth, which was the childhood home of the Bronte sisters. Visitors are encouraged to dress in 1940's costume, which most people (including me) seemed to do. There were battle reenactments, steam train rides, live entertainment, vintage vehicles, a funfair in the park and lots more to see and do.
