I had a quick trip to Dublin recently. It's really cheap and easy to get to from Glasgow with Ryanair and the bus into the city from the airport only takes 25 minutes. There is so much to do in this cosmopolitan city. My highlights were the city bus tour with our informative and entertaining guide, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and a guided tour of the Irish Rock 'n' Roll Museum Experience, which tells the story of Irish music and its impact on the world and contains lots of music memorabilia. Dublin is a lively city, full of friendly people, that I would recommend to anyone looking for a short break.
